As part of their ongoing strategy to continue their growth they now require a Managing Director to lead the management team in delivery of the commercial growth objectives and continually improve this important service to their chosen market sectors.

The Company
Head quartered in the East Midlands and servicing many blue-chip companies our client is the UK’s market leading provider of waste recycling services, they specialise in utilizing a range of food and natural waste products to environmentally benefit the production of crops and return valuable nutrients to agricultural land. As part of their ongoing strategy to continue their growth they now require a Managing Director to lead the management team in delivery of the commercial growth strategy and continually improve this important service to their chosen market sectors.  The business has a long heritage in the agribusiness and the rural sector and have developed a reputation of delivering outstanding service for farmers, food businesses and utilities whilst maintaining strong profit growth and efficient operations.

The Role
Reporting and working closely with the Chief Executive this role will be responsible for building value through developing and executing successful strategies that deliver growth and improved margins. As Managing Director, you will outline the goals and objectives of the organisation and be responsible for improving key business processes, building on our client’s reputation for the highest levels of customer service whilst maintaining tight cost control. Using entrepreneurial flare, you will successfully identify opportunities for profitable growth and develop a team with the necessary skills and expertise to turn these into new revenue opportunities in the rapidly changing landscape following Brexit.

The Candidate
To be considered the successful candidate must have current senior commercial, logistics, operations or agribusiness management experience in a fast-paced food or agricultural manufacturing environment with a track record of delivering excellent leadership within a ‘just in time’ operation. This is a very visible role in a dynamic & pro-active environment, so, mentoring and communication skills are vital for the successful candidate.
