The Opportunity

Due to ForFarmers’ continued growth, we are looking to hire a Ruminant Business Manager to join the team. This home and field-based role will cover one of the following regions:

  • South Wales and West
  • South and Southwest
  • North (from Birmingham to Scotland)

As the Ruminant Business Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales of the ForFarmers Total Feed Portfolio, ensuring that volume and contribution targets are met. This includes managing and growing a portfolio that covers compound feed, blends, dry straights, liquids, moist feeds, and forage products such as seeds, additives, and fertilizers. Your primary focus will be on serving the dairy, beef, and sheep sectors within our ruminant customer base and prospect pool.

Key responsibilities include achieving sales targets, managing accounts and developing new business opportunities utilising the training you will receive. We are seeking a candidate with a well-established ledger already delivering approximately 10,000+ tonnes of compound and blend feed, contributing £400K or more in total sales margin.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate for this role will possess strong sales skills, with the ability to both maintain an existing customer portfolio and build relationships with new clients. A background in agri-business and a well-established ledger will be essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication skills, proficiency in using CRM reporting systems and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
