Given the growth ambitions of the business, its strong tradition in innovation and unique ‘foodie’ focused culture Eden Search & Select was tasked to find an individual with the professional experience to lead a commercially focused strategy within a highly dynamic, fast paced, entrepreneurial business. The successful candidate also needed to have the right personal values and cultural fit to be successful within a privately owned business building a strong relationship with an entrepreneurial Owner and CEO whilst leading a dedicated and exceptionally high performing leadership team.

Eden Search & Select embarked on an extensive talent identification and engagement process within the UK foodservice sectors targeting Commercial and Managing Director professionals with the skill set and ambition to deliver for the Board & Shareholders. Our project team, consisting of our Head of Research and Managing Director, worked together closely, to deliver the key stages: identification, screening, assessment and validation. This approach delivered a shortlist of five highly credible and suitable candidates which were interviewed with two invited back for 2nd stage with one candidate standing out.
The successful candidate has worked quickly to integrate themselves into the unique culture of the business leading strategy planning and commercial workshops to engage the team around a core vision. The appointment has also given the business excellent commercial leadership and allowed the Owner and CEO to focus on strategic projects at a time of unprecedented challenges within the dynamic food service sector.
