Our client is an internationally recognised provider of agrimetric data and services for the crop protection, livestock, environmental and renewable industries. The Group’s data principally enables clients to take more informed decisions around their own production methods, input procurement, governance, product development and support consultancy clients in advising their own clients. The Group continues to grow its interests through organic growth and M&A activity and are now looking for an experienced Managing Director lead their business and drive their growth strategy.
Reporting to the Chairman, the Managing Director will control and oversee all business operations, people and ventures, and be responsible for the overall success of the business. The role will ensure the company and leadership team are constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines. The role will advise the Board and develop a clear informed strategic perspective of the business, the markets in which it operates now and the potential markets it plans access through organic growth or M&A activity.
The successful Managing Director will have high level of commercial awareness across the agri business and food supply chain. Candidates must demonstrate experience in developing strategic and business plans with a strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance. The candidate must be a natural leader and motivator of people, with excellent organisational and leadership skills.
