Eden Search & Select has developed a close relationship with Whites Recycling, part of the ReGen group of companies, exclusively working with them to identify future senior management for the business. A critical project for the group was the replacement of the very successful long serving Managing Director due to retirement. This key appointment had many subtle areas to consider: the potential candidates had to not only bring sound food industry experience and management capability to the role but also be a strong leader capable of winning hearts and minds. As a business that acts as a bridge between food company waste recycling and crop nutrition on farm, it was also important to have candidates who had specific high-level knowledge of regulated service provision in a fast paced, technically complex environment.

As a very niche business being able to move out of sector was critical to finding the best comparable skills who could deliver the leadership needed.
The results
Following our very strong shortlist and the jointly planned interview process with the Chairman, Whites Recycling appointed one of the most respected senior managers from the food and brewing sector who has excellent leadership and people skills coupled with deep knowledge of engineering to drive the business forward in this important new environmentally beneficial industry.
