The Opportunity
Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will take responsibility for the company’s Cereals portfolio and subsequent marketing activity. A large part of the position will revolve around the 2 significant campaign periods, Spring and Winter. This role will take the lead on showcasing existing and upcoming varietal developments, ensure the market is well informed. However, you will also ensure all internal stakeholders are fully informed and able to sell effectively to their respective customers. The position will also form a close link with the breeding teams, providing information critical in selecting traits for future developments.
The Candidate
This role calls for a deep understanding of the Cereals category and as such the successful candidate will need to demonstrate this knowledge. However, that experience could come in the form of technical understanding from an agronomic stand point or from a good commercial overview of the crops. You will need to demonstrate a good understanding of marketing principles and ideas, although you will be supported by the broader marketing team as well. The role doesn’t require any man management, but the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders will be critical. Limagrain’s head office is located near Rothwell, Lincolnshire and the role will ideally be based there, but there is flexibility for a discussion on a hybrid model.
