We are looking for an inspirational Farming Director with outstanding leadership skills to lead the Farming and Energy teams in the next phase of our ambitious growth plan. As part of the executive leadership team, the Farming Director will be responsible for driving continuous improvement that will enable the business to achieve rapid and
sustainable expansion.
The Opportunity
An integral part of the executive leadership team driving the strategic direction of the farming enterprise.
Ultimately responsibility for all farms (arable and livestock), agronomy, AD plants and haulage including health and safety. Promoting a high performance culture within a safe working environment to build sustainable operations and achieve strategic objectives.
Striving to position the business as a leader in using new technology and innovation, identifying opportunities to collaborate with engineers at Dyson Technology.
Managing the deployment of resources and assets to maximise output and deliver against annual and long-term strategic targets. Identifying and developing talent within the teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement which supports business growth, whilst providing stability and direction during periods of change.
The Candidate
A highly motivated and inspirational people focused leader, capable of building high performing teams at all levels and delivering results against an ambitious strategy.
An experienced senior leader within a large scale, multi-site farm business and
demonstrate excellent communication skills, financial acumen and commercial nous.
Able to demonstrate a track record in driving and implementing innovation within UK agriculture with the ambition to continue this learning at one of the most technically advanced farming business in the UK.
