Dole Europe plays a critical role within this global network, operating a complex international sourcing and supply chain model that supports customers across the region.
The Opportunity
Dole EMEA is seeking an experienced Technical & Supply Chain specialist, operating at Director level, to lead a critical project with four clear priorities. The first is to profile and map the EMEA supply base across key categories, creating a comprehensive view of the current network. The second is to assess risk through robust data collection, enabling the identification, quantification and clear reporting of current status and potential exposure to the Board. The third is to strengthen supplier engagement by establishing a data platform that captures key metrics, accreditations and performance data from third-party partners. Finally, alongside delivering immediate improvements, the role will design a three-year strategy to support continuous, incremental enhancement across the Dole EMEA supply network.
The output will be a clear, the role will leave the Dole EMEA supply chain in an even stronger position with a practical action plan for further development. Initially offered as a 12-month contract, the role has the potential to develop into a permanent position or lead to further project work across the wider Dole business.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will bring significant technical, sustainability and supply chain experience operating across international fresh food supply chains, with a strong understanding of what “best in class” looks like in complex, multi-country environments. Candidates will be knowledgeable and experienced in working with cutting edge data collation platforms with examples of how they have worked with growers, traders, logistics providers, technical teams and senior commercial leaders to deliver robust systems and positive impact across supply chain reporting.
Commercially astute and highly collaborative, this individual will be able to build rapport quickly across cultures and geographies, translating recommendations into tangible impact within the business. Above all, they will bring independence, authority and clarity, with the capability to drive meaningful, lasting improvement across Dole EMEA’s supply chain.
