“Next month, I’ll be heading to Fruit Logistica in Berlin, and while it’s not my first time attending, it will be my first time there with the Eden team, and I am really looking forward to it!
As a truly global event, it’s a great opportunity to see how the industry is responding to shifting consumer behaviour and particularly the growing demand for convenience, snacking formats, right-sized portions, and clearer health cues across fresh food categories. This is an area I’m especially interested in, and something the Eden team will be keeping a close eye on throughout the event.
I’m looking forward to exploring the innovations shortlisted for last year’s Innovation Awards (FLIA) and seeing how the winners are continuing to build on their success.
Congratulations again to AMFRESH, whose Onix™ Orange, a visually striking variety, won the Fresh Produce category, and to Fermata, whose AI-driven pest and disease detection platform, Croptimus™, took the Technology award.
Both are excellent examples of how innovation is shaping the future of fresh food.
