Head of Commercial Performance
National travel with ability to be in Llansantffraid one day a week
The Organisation
Wynnstay is a business focused on supporting its farming customers. It is a leading supplier of agricultural products and services, with the ability to offer the whole package to farmers. Spanning three main divisions; Feed and Grain, Fertiliser and Seed, and Stores Specialist Merchanting, customers can access all the necessary farming inputs through a variety of distribution channels.
Over the last 100+ years it has grown from a small cooperative in mid Wales to a company listed on AIM with a strong track record and ambitions to maintain its growth trajectory as the UK industry consolidates.
With an ambitious transformation strategy underway and strong financial results, Wynnstay is entering an exciting new chapter. They are now seeking a Head of Commercial Performance to strengthening how they deliver commercial performance across a complex, multi-channel business. This role sits at the heart of that ambition – bringing momentum, clarity and focus to sales delivery, and ensuring plans translate into results.
The Role
We’re looking for a driven, tenacious commercial leader who thrives on pace, accountability, and delivery. This is a senior sales leadership role at Wynnstay, leading national teams across Stores, Field Sales and Commercial Operations, with clear accountability for revenue, margin and execution discipline. It will suit someone who enjoys being close to the commercial engine of the business and gets real energy from leading sales through people.
You will be
- Leading national sales teams across Stores, Field Sales and Commercial Operations
- Driving revenue and margin delivery through strong sales leadership and disciplined execution
- Setting clear expectations, performance rhythm and accountability across sales teams
- Identifying risks early and leading corrective action to protect delivery
- Working closely with the Commercial Director and senior peers to convert ambition into results
The Candidate
This role will appeal to a commercial leader who enjoys complexity, variety and momentum, and who is confident holding senior leaders to account. You’ll be outcome-focused, commercially sharp, and at your best where success comes from clarity, pace and follow-through rather than theory or process alone.
You’ll bring strong financial acumen, a proven track record leading cross-functional teams and energy and dynamism. Knowledge of the agricultural sector—or a closely related industry—is required, along with an understanding of selling to farmers. Personal values aligned to that of Wynnstay are essential.
The successful candidate will have the chance to drive real change, inspire teams and create meaningful impact.
