The Agricultural Industries Confederation is the leading trade body for companies in the agriculture supply industry, in the UK, and represents a considerable amount of GDP. With a strong executive team, they are tasked to aid the industry to deliver net zero by 2050 through the influence of business actions, policy and innovations.
Through a referral, AIC were introduced to Eden to discuss their need for a Head of Sustainability following the retirement of the incumbent.

Our approach
Most critical for this search was recognising that the skills needed for AIC were unique and therefore it was necessary to think ‘outside of the box.’ It was understood that the appointed individual would need to have a good technical knowledge, followed by some appreciation for the policy frameworks and a natural commercial acumen to be able to influence industry leaders at the top table.
Leaning on Eden’s deep knowledge of the sector, we were able to offer a compelling set of candidates who not only met the needs of the business today but can also continue to offer more in the future. In addition, this was an all-female shortlist, therefore ensuring diversity of thought at the board tables of UK agriculture.
