Eden Search were proud to once again partner with Dyson Farming to support a pivotal senior appointment within their leadership team. Following the continued success of their glasshouse grown strawberries – and with ambitious future developments on the horizon – Dyson Farming sought to recruit a General Manager to oversee all of their Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) operations. This role offered an opportunity to join the division at a key stage in its growth, with the next phase of glasshouse expansion imminent and with a motivated, capable team ready to take on its next major challenge.
Our approach
Working closely with Dyson Farming’s Senior Leadership team, Eden invested time in understanding the key requirements for the role and Dyson Farming’s future plans. The search centred around individuals with a thorough knowledge of Fresh Produce, who had worked in businesses which were responsible for growing their own products. Candidates needed to demonstrate strong operational understanding with the ability to lead, empower and inspire a multi-functional team.
The results
After a thorough market mapping and assessment process, Eden recommended five candidates who showcased the required experience for the role. All five were interviewed by Dyson Farming, with two being selected for the final stage which included a presentation, site tour and team meet at their Glasshouse facilities in Carrington. Dyson Farming ultimately appointed an experienced leader, who brings the operational strength, strategic leadership and people leadership needed to build on their current capabilities, while steering the division confidently into its future growth and market disruption that Dyson Farming is known for.
