Non-Executive Chair

Rattlerow are a unique privately-owned farming group with a range of interests from arable production, pig production & genetics and renewable energy. An exciting time of change and transformation required the support and independence of a Non-Executive Chair to take them to the next level.
Eden worked with the Group for several months to understand their needs and what would be expected of the role. Most importantly time was spent to scope out the characteristics and what was required for a candidate to be a good cultural fit.
Our approach
The brief became clear, namely, to find someone that understood the commercial realities of the UK agricultural sector and could demonstrate the empathy and skill to work in a complex family business. Strength of character, ability to build a rapport with all stakeholders and an ability to ask the tough questions were a must!
Eden employed a detailed search, in partnership with Rattlerow, which involved looking at experienced non-executive directors, chairs and business executives. We looked closely into the monogastric sector and beyond to find not just the best candidate locally, but the best candidate globally.
The results
Eden’s shortlist was considered exceptional, and we were able to introduce talent to the Group that they would not ordinarily have found. This was a great example of how Eden’s industry insight, research approach and empathy were used to meet the needs of the client and to deliver a successful conclusion.
