Volac – Global Head of Supply Chain
Global Head of Supply Chain
Opportunity
Having successful successfully recruited their new Managing Director 2 years ago, Volac chose to partner with Eden again on their need for a Global Head of Supply Chain to support a business transformation programme and create a more integrated, scalable supply chain across its international operations. The business needed a leader with strong S&OP, operational and change management expertise to improve forecasting, inventory management, service levels and consistency across multiple sites. Importantly, this was not only to deliver improvements now but also to ensure the right foundations were in place to deliver an ambitious growth strategy.
.
We were impressed by the clear process that the Eden team followed throughout the appointment of our new Global Head of Supply Chain. The focus allowed us to invest valuable time at critical moments of the process, whilst identifying the very best candidate, from an impressive final shortlist. Ben Masia joined us at the start of September and we are already seeing the difference he is making to our business in a critical role.

Our approach
Eden conducted a targeted search focused on senior supply chain leaders with the ability to operate strategically while driving hands-on operational improvement across complex, multi-site businesses. The search prioritised candidates with strong end-to-end supply chain expertise, proven S&OP capability, and a track record of leading transformation, embedding processes and building structure within evolving organisations.
Through extensive market mapping across the animal nutrition, food manufacturing, FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors, Eden identified a highly competitive talent market, with a limited pool of leaders possessing both the technical expertise and change management skills required by Volac.
